My graduation piece “They play with my fingers” deals with ancestry in a very personal way. In this piece I work with the idea of canalizing voices of oppressed peoples through my fingers and letting that influence the music I play. Through a musical (piano, singing and electronic music), visual and sensorial experience I share personal struggles and link those to bigger struggles dealing with systematic oppressions. I believe and this has also been the feedback about the piece that I managed to manifest a good balance between “ranting” and being grateful about life.
